Hulu and Onyx Collective are moving forward with their adaptation of Zakiya Dalila Harris’ novel The Other Black Woman.
The Disney-backed streamer has handed out a series buy for the drama from Onyx Collective and Freeform president Tara Duncan.
The drama revolves close to Nella, an editorial assistant, who is fatigued of currently being the only Black female at her firm so she’s fired up when Hazel is employed. But as Hazel’s star starts to rise, Nella spirals out and discovers a little something sinister is heading on at the corporation.
Danielle Henderson (Dare Me, Sorry for Your Decline) is established as showrunner on the series and will exec create together with Duncan, Rashida Jones, Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, Adam Fishbach and creator Harris.
