Since the beginning of 2021, no fewer than seven U.S. law firms have opened offices in Belgium’s capital. Reed Smith went first in 2020. Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, Kirkland & Ellis and Simpson Thacher followed in 2021.
Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson and Weil, Gotshal Manges arrived in Brussels in 2022, while Davis Polk & Wardwell announced in January that it intends to open an office in the city later this year.
